About the Book

As parents, coaches and teachers we sometimes speak to our teenage youth to instill valuable lessons and realize they have “tuned us out.” Sometimes they are so distracted with the stimulus in the world, they don’t listen and lose their direction. From time to time, a voice from the outside can assist them to re-focus and get back on track to reaching their dreams. BasSketball lessons will help them do just that.

In this book, Brent Bass teaches youth (particularly student-athletes) how to be intentional in everyday living. He shares sports stories about mental, physical, social and spiritual principles and life skills he learned from a diverse set of successful basketball coaches, mentors and experiences on his journey to reaching his goals academically, athletically and professionally.

BasSketball Lessons is a concise read, yet it embodies twenty-two important principles that will help enhance the attitudes of youth on a variety of topics. It will inspire young people, ages 12-18, to excel at whatever they put their minds to, with the emphasis to be pro-actively prepared for when the ball stops bouncing.
