Brent Bass, MS, MA, CMAA, is an expert on youth sports. He has a vast professional background in the sports industry. He has served as a youth sports business owner, intercollegiate Assistant Athletics Director, Deputy Commissioner of Parks and Recreation, Physical Education/Health Teacher and Basketball Coach at the youth, high school and college levels. Brent is currently the Director of Athletics at E.L. Haynes Middle and High School in Washington D.C.
Brent grew up in Elmsford, NY, in the suburbs of New York City. Educationally, he played division one basketball at Wichita State in Kansas and at Wingate College in North Carolina, where he received a degree in Parks and Recreation Administration. He also earned a Master of Science Degree in Teaching From Iona College in New Rochelle, NY and a Master of Arts Degree in Physical Education, Health and Sports Pedagogy from Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY.
Brent enjoys talking with youth about dreaming big and standing out from the pack in order to reach their dreams. He has experience in formally and informally presenting to church and parents’ groups, sports teams along with elementary, middle, high school and college students. He also is a devoted husband of 20+ years and father of three young men.
